Yaesu FT-450D HF/6m Transceiver With Antenna Tuner builds on the success of its predecessor, the FT-450AT, by incorporating advanced features. With a transmit frequency coverage from 160 to 6 meters and a receive range of 30 kHz to 54 MHz, this transceiver offers a power output of 100 watts on HF and 6 meters. Operating modes include USB, LSB, CW, AM, and FM, making it versatile for various communication needs. Additionally, it features a built-in antenna tuning system for optimal performance.

Equipped with a range of features, the FT-450D includes an MH-31A8J hand microphone and DC power cord, requiring 13.8 VDC at 22 amps for operation. Some notable features of this transceiver are the 400 MHz built-in IF DSP technology, electronic keyed, LCD multi-function display, bar-graph metering, and a built-in TCXO with ±1 PPM/hour accuracy. It also offers AGC selection, clarifier adjustment, and a dedicated data jack for FSK-RTTY operation, catering to the needs of amateur radio operators.

The FT-450D provides convenient front panel control over essential features like CONTOUR filtering, manual NOTCH for interference removal, digital noise reduction (DNR) for reducing random noise, and IF WIDTH tuning for selectable pass bandwidth. Other features include a digital microphone equalizer, fast IF SHIFT control, speech processor, quick split function, and a versatile memory system with up to 500 memory channels.
