The Yaesu FTDX10 HF SDR Transceiver represents a significant advancement in hybrid SDR technology, incorporating features from the renowned FTDX101 series. This model employs a combination of narrow-band SDR and Direct Sampling SDR configurations, which enhance receiver performance and provide a real-time digital processing spectrum scope. Three roofing filters, 500Hz, 3kHz, and 12kHz, ensure exceptional multi-signal receiving capabilities. At the same time, the down conversion receiver configuration with a first IF at 9MHz allows for the integration of high-quality narrow-bandwidth crystal roofing filters.

The FTDX10 is equipped with a 250MHz High-Resolution Direct Digital Synthesizer (HRDDS), which significantly improves the carrier-to-noise ratio, achieving a phase noise characteristic of -145dB or less at 14MHz with 2kHz separation. This design choice contributes to a quiet and clear reception, making it suitable for serious operators. The 5-inch full-colour TFT display features a 3D Spectrum Stream (3DSS) interface, allowing for intuitive frequency adjustments through touch or dial control. The front panel is designed for operational efficiency and features a Multi-Purpose VFO Outer Dial (MPVD) to manage various functions easily.

For remote operation, the FTDX10 supports the optional SCU-LAN10 unit, enabling users to control the transceiver from a distance via a home LAN network. This capability allows for sophisticated monitoring of band conditions on larger displays, enhancing the overall user experience. Additional features include 15 separate bandpass filters, effective QRM rejection through advanced DSP functions, a high-speed automatic antenna tuner, and a robust final amplifier utilizing a new push-pull MOSFET design. With its comprehensive functionality and innovative design, the FTDX10 is poised to meet the demands of both casual and competitive ham radio operators.
