SE HF X-80 XP High Power 1kW Vertical Antenna

(Please note the aluminium tubes used for the X-80 XP are 1.2mm or 18 gauge wall thickness which is an upgrade from the standard X-80)

The Sigma Euro-Comm Ltd X-80 XP is an end-fed vertical antenna, allowing the user to work 80 meters through to 6 meters using an ATU.  The antenna can be pole mounted at ground level or elevated depending on the user’s personal requirements. The antenna is rated at 1KW* pep.  The antenna comes with fixings and an installation guide. 

How it works: The antenna is fed using 50 Ohm coax via a SO-239 socket at the base of the unit a 4:1 UNUN transformer is located in an IP65 weather-sealed box at the bottom of the 6-meter telescopic aluminium element. The transformer reduces the impedance at the feed point to a more acceptable level making the antenna much more efficient and allowing proper and easy tuning via an external ATU. The antenna can be grounded if the user experiences excessive local static noise, but as the UNUN is DC grounded: grounding will not affect the tuning ratios.

 *1kW Power Rating is for Intermittent Amateur Radio use (CW or PEP) for Data Modes (FT-x, RTTY, etc) or Constant Carrier Data Modes a Lower Maximum of 200 Watts is Recommended.

A simple effective compact solution to noise and interference problems, The bhi ANEM MKII ‘Noise Away’ Amplified DSP Noise Elimination in-line Module is a compact, easy-to-use, the in-line solution to noise and interference problems in voice and radio communications. Using unique fully adaptive DSP noise cancellation technology, unwanted noise and interference are removed to leave clear speech with virtually no distortion of the voice signal.

The ANEM MKII simply fits in line between the communications equipment and the loudspeaker or headphones. It is suitable for a variety of applications. Still, it is particularly useful for improving voice quality in radio communications, removing unwanted noise and interference to give much-improved speech intelligibility across all bands (SSB, UHF, VHF, HF, AM and FM).

The ANEM MKII suits customers who prefer simple controls and operations. As the unit incorporates the bhi NEDSP1062-KBD module, it is an ideal solution for those customers who do not want to modify their existing speaker to fit the NEDSP1062-KBD.

The ANEM MKII is set up and ready to go. Its functions are microprocessor controlled, enabling simple operation via two pushbuttons: power on/off audio bypass and DSP filter on/off. 4 or 8 levels of noise cancellation are selectable via the pushbuttons on power-up, the last selected filter level remaining in the memory when the unit is switched off. The ANEM also has a headphone/speaker switch enabling the unit to be easily used with an extension speaker or a pair of mono headphones.

The unit comes boxed with a 1030-FPL Fused DC power lead (2.1mm ctr +ve) and an ALD-001 3.5mm mono plug lead 1.2m long, plus full operating instructions. Audio adapters are available to suit different connections, and Velcro strips are provided for mounting the module in a suitable position on your extension speaker or radio equipment.

Precise audio adjustment for your own hearing
The bhi ParaPro EQ20B-DSP 20 watt audio unit comes with parametric equalisation, bhi’s world-class DSP noise cancelling technology and Bluetooth.  The parametric equalisation allows you to fine-tune the sound of your audio and boost or cut the frequencies to suit your own hearing and conditions.

Latest bhi DSP Noise cancelling Technology
The EQ20B-DSP unit features a 10W per channel audio amplifier with Bluetooth, parametric equalisation and bhi’s latest dual Channel DSP noise cancelling technology to give you an even better “noise free” listening experience.

Mono or Stereo inputs
You can connect one or two mono inputs to the CH1 and CH2 input sockets, or a stereo signal from an SDR radio, shortwave receiver, MP3 player etc, via the stereo input socket.

Choice of outputs and connections
Connect passive speakers to the left and right “Speaker Outputs” using the 4mm banana plugs or phono to 3.5mm mono adapters supplied. Use the “Source Select” button on the front panel to select the desired audio.

Easy to use audio controls
The EQ20B-DSP is housed in a quality compact ABS case. There are controls for Power/Volume along with two parametric equaliser channels labelled Bass and Treble, with the Bass centre frequency being adjustable from 100Hz to1kHz and Treble covering 1kHz to 10kHz. Used together these controls provide two bands of ±10dB adjustment from 100Hz through to10kHz.

bhi DSP noise cancelling
The fully adaptive DSP noise cancelling filter can be adjusted from to 9 to 40dB enabling you to change the filter setting in “real time” to suit your current conditions.

Benefits of Parametric Equalisation
Unlike standard tone controls, graphic equalisation and preset EQ settings a parametric equaliser allows you to select the precise frequency you want to adjust.  This enables you to boost or cut the selected frequency giving you much greater flexibility and accuracy in setting the audio to suit your own hearing.  This is especially beneficial to people with hearing loss.

Bluetooth connectivity
Built-in Bluetooth connectivity on the input effectively turns the EQ20B-DSP into a Bluetooth speaker allowing audio playback through the unit from a Bluetooth audio source like an MP3 player or Bluetooth enabled radio.
