Terms and Conditions

Commercial Invoices

• Payment terms for commercial invoices are net 30 days.
• Late payments are subject to a 5% surcharge.

Warranty for Used and New Equipment

• Used Equipment: Covered under a warranty for parts and labor. Customer misuse voids this warranty. See the “LAMCO Approved Used Equipment Warranty” section for details.
• New Equipment: Covered under the manufacturer’s warranty and can be returned directly to the manufacturer.

Ownership and Stock Information

• All goods remain the property of LAM Communications Ltd until payment is received and cleared through our bank (HSBC) and delivery is completed.
• Deliveries may be handled by LAMCO, a third-party carrier, or collected in-store via ‘Click & Collect.’
• Stock availability may vary due to sales on external platforms. Please contact our sales office at 01226 361700 before placing an order if availability is uncertain.

Export Items and Warranty Returns

• Exported items requiring warranty claims must be returned at the purchaser’s cost.
• If a warranty claim is deemed invalid, a repair quote will be issued. Repairs will proceed only upon receipt of payment.
• For valid warranty claims, the return shipping to the customer will be covered by LAMCO.
• Exclusions:
  • Radio and linear amplifier output transistors.
  • Antennas and related apparatus are not covered for storm damage. Customers are advised to take necessary precautions.

Returns Policy

• Non-Faulty Items:
  • Subject to a 25% restocking fee.
  • Items must be returned at the customer’s expense in their original, unopened, and unused condition.
• Faulty Items:
  • Within 30 days: Eligible for exchange or refund.
  • After 30 days: Eligible for repair. If repair fails, an exchange will be offered.
• Mail Order Returns:
  • Notify us of any damage or missing items within one hour of delivery.
  • Items not required may be returned within 14 days in accordance with Distance Selling Regulations. They must be unopened and unused.
• Refunds will be processed within 14 days to the original payment source.

Shipping and Delivery

• Mail Order Delivery:
  • Next Working Day Delivery by 12 noon via DPD Local GPS Tracked.
  • Highlands/Islands: Three-day delivery.
  • Free delivery is via the most cost-effective method and excludes Highlands/Islands.
  • Orders placed before 3 pm on Fridays will be dispatched the same day.
  • Orders redirected, rearranged or requested to a safe place are left to the responsibility of the customer. LAM Communications Ltd. does not take responsibility for lost, damaged, misplaced or stolen parcels due to these factors

Export Orders

• Export orders are shipped from the UK without UK VAT.
• Import duties, VAT, commodity charges, and customs clearance fees are the customer’s responsibility.
• Returns of export items are the customer’s responsibility unless under warranty.

Part Exchange Purchases

• For part exchange transactions, only the customer’s paid amount will be refunded. Part exchange value will be credited for future purchases.

Clearance (Junksale) Items

• Sold as-is with no warranty, return, or refund. Faults, if known, will be disclosed in the product description.

LTE SIM Card Monthly Plan

• Service provided by Icom UK via Vodafone, O2, and Three. Minimum term: 24 months.
• Cancellation must be requested in writing after the 24-month period, with one month’s notice.
• All accounts must be up-to-date for cancellation.
• LAM Communications Ltd is not liable for the performance of the SIM card service.

RigCheques

• Non-transferable and hold no monetary value.
• Must be used before the expiry date and validated by LAM Communications Ltd.
• Issued at the company’s discretion as loyalty rewards, mailing list exclusives, or special offers.

LAMCO Approved Used Equipment Warranty

• Warranty is non-transferable and excludes:
  • Output transistors, drivers, batteries.
  • Damage due to misuse, cross polarity, storms, or operator error.
  • Corrosion, natural disasters, unauthorized installations, or improper use.
• Repairs by third parties without authorization void the warranty.
• Warranty service is limited to the UK, Channel Islands, and Republic of Ireland. Customers outside these areas are responsible for return shipping costs.

Free UK Mainland Delivery

• Free delivery may be offered on orders exceeding a specific value. This excludes the Scottish Highlands and Islands.

Wide Band Transmit Service

• Modifying equipment for wideband transmission may void the warranty.
• Non-approved modifications to Icom equipment are not covered under warranty.
