The Yaesu FT-950 HF Multi-Mode Transceiver is engineered for high-performance operation in competitive environments, making it an ideal choice for contesting, DXing, and digital modes. Built upon the successful FTdx9000 platform, this transceiver upholds the legacy of the FT-1000 series, delivering up to 100 Watts of output power on SSB, CW, and FM, with a 25 Watts AM carrier. Its advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology enhances transmission and reception capabilities, ensuring superior performance.

The FT-950 features a sophisticated receiver that employs DSP filtering, offering Variable Bandwidth, IF Shift, and Passband Contour tuning. Additional functionalities include Digital Noise Reduction, Digital Auto-Notch Filtering, and a manually-tuned IF Notch filter. On the transmission side, the exclusive Three-Band Parametric Microphone Equalizer allows users to finely adjust the audio characteristics of their voice, with independent controls for amplitude, centre frequency, and bandwidth across low, mid, and high frequencies.

User-friendly features enhance the operational experience, including Direct Keyboard Frequency Entry, Speech Processor, and adjustable IF Noise Blanker. The transceiver supports two TX/RX antenna ports and provides dual key jacks for paddle or straight key input. With 99 memory slots for frequency and mode settings, alongside five quick-recall memories, the FT-950 ensures efficient operation. Its built-in automatic antenna tuner remembers 100 matching settings, while a dedicated RTTY/PKT connection jack adds to its versatility. Compact yet robust, the FT-950 measures 14.4 x 4.5 x 12.4 inches and weighs 28.7 lbs, requiring 13.8 VDC at 22 amps.
