The Yaesu M-90D Desktop Microphone is a versatile audio device that seamlessly integrates with various Yaesu HF transceivers. It features a round 8-pin jack and an 8-pin modular jack, allowing users to connect the supplied microphone cable to either option based on their transceiver’s configuration. Notably, the M-90D operates independently of the SCU-53, simplifying the setup process for users.

This microphone utilizes a dynamic element finely tuned to produce rich low to mid-frequency responses, ensuring clear and concise audio quality during conversations. The design incorporates a windscreen cover and a directional microphone element, effectively focusing on front voice input while minimizing ambient noise from the sides. Additionally, the built-in Low-Cut filter enhances audio clarity by shaping the low-frequency response, cutting off at 340Hz with a slope of -6dB per octave.

The M-90D also includes an integrated isolation transformer within its circuit board, furthering audio quality.
