Alinco DJ-X100E | Digital Multi-Mode Receiver
The device features a user-friendly operating system. The settings menu is controlled using a dial and the Enter key, with operation guide icons displayed at the bottom of the screen. Its hierarchical structure ensures both multifunctionality and ease of use.
The device supports USB Type-C charging via a USB adapter (approximately 5 hours) or direct connection to a PC using the included USB cable. It can also be powered by a portable battery charger and is compatible with an optional dry cell battery case for extended field use.
Designed to resemble professional measuring instruments, the device features a sleek numeric keypad with membrane switches. The 2.0-inch color TFT LCD (320 x 240 pixels) ensures clear readability. Users can customize the screen and text colors using RGB values. Battery consumption remains consistent regardless of color settings.
A dedicated IC enables FM radio reception, allowing users to listen to FM broadcasts when communication is inactive. When a signal is received, the radio volume is automatically lowered to prioritize communications.
The device utilizes a low-power DSP for efficient demodulation of both digital and analog signals.
The built-in GPS receiver supports MICHIBIKI, GALILEO, and GLONASS systems. The “In-Range Search” function allows users to quickly access memory channels for registered radio stations based on location.
The device supports 999 memory channels, allowing for advanced channel management. Users can store communication settings, memory names (up to 14 double-byte or 28 single-byte characters), location data, and multiple registrations across 26 banks. Channel 001 is reserved for priority scanning.
GPS data and received position signals are analyzed to display station positions and movement directions. AIS mode provides real-time vessel tracking, showing position, travel direction, and distance from the receiving location.
Free utility software for memory management, scanning settings, and name entry will be available on the Alinco website. Location display software enables overlaying position information onto a map. The device also supports 12 kHz IF output (W/N) for use with third-party receiver software.
