AOR-8200 Mark 3, an advancement of the AR-8200 Series-2, is a versatile all-mode receiver with an impressive frequency coverage extending up to 3GHz. This model boasts enhanced illumination and is powered by high-capacity Nickel Metal Hydride batteries, ensuring longer operational time. Its performance has been fine-tuned for superior sensitivity and robust signal handling across 530kHz to 3000MHz. Standard equipment includes a telescopic whip antenna on a swivel base and a medium wave bar aerial, catering to various listening needs.
The AR-8200 Mk3 features a preselected RF front-end optimized for VHF, significantly improving adjacent channel rejection. The shortwave bands are processed through a 45MHz intermediate frequency to eliminate unwanted signals. User navigation is simplified with a side keypad equipped with four arrow keys, facilitating intuitive access to on-screen menus. The device includes a larger backlit LCD with contrast control, allowing users to add 12-character text comments to memory channels. Additionally, a multifunction band scope offers adjustable span widths, enhancing the user’s ability to monitor frequencies effectively.
To further expand its capabilities, the AR-8200 Mk3 supports optional internal slot cards, increasing memory storage to 4,000 channels and adding features like CTCSS squelch, audio recording, and tone elimination for shortwave bands.
