Kenwood TS-890 HF Transceiver is a high-performance amateur radio designed for serious HF operators and contest stations. This unit is the original TS-890 model, not the later SE2 versions, offering the proven performance that made the TS-890 series highly respected among DX and contest operators.
The transceiver covers the amateur bands from 160 m through 6 m, and this particular radio also includes 70 MHz (4 m) capability, giving additional operating flexibility for UK and European operators. Delivering up to 100 W RF output, the TS-890 provides excellent transmit performance alongside one of the most advanced receiver architectures in its class.
The radio features a high-resolution colour TFT display with spectrum scope and waterfall, allowing operators to visually monitor band activity and quickly locate signals. Advanced DSP filtering, roofing filters and down-conversion receiver architecture provide exceptional dynamic range and strong weak-signal performance.
