1 × Base unit (SO-239)
4 × Coils (7 / 14 / 21 / 28 MHz)
1 × Telescopic whip antenna
1 × 4–16 terminal block
1 × 4–10 terminal block
(Used for ground network or vehicle-body grounding)
Connect the pull-rod (whip) antenna to the base’s wire ring.
Pull the rod out completely, then shorten slightly as needed for fine-tuning.
For best performance, connect 1–3 radial wires, each around 3 m long.
For 7 MHz, 3 radials are recommended.
Wire sizes: 1.5 mm² or 2.5 mm².
If mounting on a vehicle:
Ensure solid body grounding
Use 4 mm² or thicker copper braid.
The ground radial system is a critical part of GP antenna performance—especially with shortened designs.
Recommended for optimal tuning and identifying the “resonance point”.
The SO-239 base allows multiple mounting methods:
Magnetic suction cup base
Clip-edge / bracket mounts
Standard SO-239 ground-plane mounts
👉 Note: Regardless of mounting style, ground radials are required for correct operation.
