aesu has introduced the FT-710 AESS HF/70MHz/50MHz SDR Transceiver, a compact yet powerful device designed for amateur radio enthusiasts. With a robust output of 100W, this transceiver leverages advanced digital RF technology derived from the FTDX101 and FTDX10 series. Key features include YAESU’s Unmatched SDR technology, which significantly enhances receiving performance, and dedicated Band Pass Filters for amateur bands. The RF Front-End design incorporates a 250MHz HRDDS, providing exceptional multi-signal receiving capabilities and effective QRM rejection through a dual-core 32-bit high-speed DSP.
The FT-710 AESS has a High-Resolution 4.3-inch TFT Colour Touch Panel Display, enhancing user interaction with its intuitive interface. Noteworthy functionalities include the 3DSS (3-Dimensional Spectrum Stream) and VMI LED for VFO Mode indication. Audio quality is elevated through the AESS Acoustic Enhanced Speaker System paired with the SP-40, ensuring high-fidelity output. Additionally, the transceiver supports the FC-40 Auto Antenna Tuner. It features SD Memory Card compatibility for communication record storage and two USB Ports (Type-A and Type-B) for versatile connectivity.
Regarding specifications, the FT-710 AESS covers a TX Frequency Range from 1.8MHz to 50MHz for amateur bands and 70MHz to 70.5MHz for UK amateur bands. The RX Frequency Range spans from 30KHz to 75MHz, ensuring comprehensive operational capabilities. Emission modes include A1A (CW), A3E (AM), J3E (LSB/USB), and F3E (FM). Operating on a supply voltage of DC13.8V ±15%, the transceiver delivers power output ranging from 5 to 100W. Its compact dimensions of 9.4” x 3.1” x 9.7” (239 x 80 x 247mm) and weight of approximately 9.92 lbs (4.5kg) make it a practical choice for both portable and fixed station setups.
